PAGE DESIGN, EDITING & TYPESETTING

We design, layout and computer typeset book pages complete with illustrations, photos and graphics ready for the printer.

We do not use “preset page-templates,” and we are not locked into preconceived interior designs. Each book is uniquely created to fit the topic of your individual publication. Our type selections, headlines, and layouts are constructed with the readers in mind, to be "reader friendly" and pull them through your book, from cover to cover. You own all rights to the pages, designs and logos we create for you.

ART, GRAPHICS & INDEX: We can create (under your guidance) charts, graphs, tables, forms and other art/graphics, an index, footnotes, and appropriate front and back matter.

EDITING & POLISHING: We offer complete copy and content editing, and proofing to prepare your manuscript for book production. Copy Editing usually involves spelling, punctuation, capitalization, hyphenation and grammar correction. More complex Content Editing can involve revising and restructuring the manuscript, checking unfamiliar words, extensive cross-checking for consistency, queries and notes to the author, and possibly some rewriting.

We normally begin the editing process by editing the first few chapters of your manuscript. These are then sent to you for approval, marked on your manuscript so that you can see our quality of editing. The rest of the chapters are then sent to you as they are edited, for input into your computer (or we can input the edits directly onto a disk if you wish).

PRINTER BIDDING & COORDINATION: We can arrange for economical printing from a wide range of printers both in the U.S. and overseas. We have saved publishers thousands of dollars by finding and negotiating the lowest prices from the best printers, and securing the best credit terms and turn-around times. We can also advise you about paper selection, cover lamination, foil and embossing, various types of bindings, and coordinate the entire printing, shipping and warehousing process. We can also set-up Distribution if you request.

We are not a "printing broker" -- you know exactly who is printing your book and what the printing and shipping costs are.

THE PAGE PRODUCTION PROCESS: The page design process begins with reading your manuscript and making notes, discussing with you the overall interior look of the book, and then providing you with a number of "custom-designed" page layouts of the first few chapters from which you can choose the interior design(s) you like best. Once you have selected the final interior design, we then typeset the entire book for your approval.

E-BOOK CONVERSION & DISTRIBUTION: If you are publishing an E-Book, we can coordinate the E-Book Conversion of your page and cover files. We can also set-up Print-On-Demand (POD) and E-Book Distribution if you request.
