CAROLYN PORTER and ALAN GADNEY each have over 35 years experience as book producers, publishers and marketers. They have designed, produced and marketed over 300 book projects.
Carolyn was Director of Production and Marketing for New Riders Publishing, a subsidiary of QUE and Macmillan Book Publishing, where she developed the first line of AutoCAD computer books for New Riders. She is known for her versatility in designing covers and pages for all types of books.
Alan has produced, marketed and promoted many genres of books, audios, videos and films. He has written and published 21 books, and written 11 screenplays. Alan was one of the founders of Publishers Marketing Association/PMA (now IBPA) in 1983.
Previously,
Carolyn and Alan were Publishers of Festival Publications in Glendale, California
where their books won the “Outstanding Reference
Book of the Year” award from the prestigious American Library
Association. Carolyn's books have also won many other awards, including IBPA/Ben Franklin, Independent
Publisher/IPPY, Forward Magazine, National Best Book awards, and many other honors. Alan's films have won 48 international
awards.
